Hurry up, only 1 item left in stock.
Here's an outstanding heavy gage sterling silver belt buckle from Navajo silversmith Rick Martinez. As can be seen from this buckle, he's known for his breathtaking stamp work. Several different stamp patterns are evident across the buckle, with some stamp work in between other patterns. Five larger (and deep) turquoise stones were set in scalloped bezels and placed in the four directions plus the center.
The buckle is 3 1/2" long and 3" tall.
The buckle loop will fit up to a 1 1/2" belt.
The turquoise stones are of variable size and shape. For scale the largest piece of turquoise is 9/16" by 3/8", and about 1/4" deep. One of the five stones is cracked. It was inspected by a master silversmith and was found to be firmly set in its bezel.
It weighs an astounding 98 g.
The artist's hallmark is "R. Martinez" inside the outline of a fish, indicating Navajo acclaimed silversmith Rick Martinez.
