VTG Sterling Bolo Tie Rectangle Geometric Overlay Rug Pattern Native American
VTG Sterling Bolo Tie Rectangle Geometric Overlay Rug Pattern Native American
Hurry up, only 1 item left in stock.
This is an amazing smaller bolo tie (for the person who isn't ready for that massive bolo tie yet) with an outstanding geometric design. The artist used an overlay and stamping technique to create the pattern seen on the bolo slide. It reminds us of a Navajo rug design. The base layer of the slide is hand textured. The leather "clasp" on the back of the slide is an early design, but the "sterling" stamp places it some time after the 1960s. The leathers have been replaced recently.
The bolo slide is 1 1/4" wide and 1 1/2" tall.
The leathers are 4 mm thick and are about 43" long (including the tips). The silver tips are 1 7/8" long, each.
It weighs 27 g.
This piece is not signed, which is not unusual for Native American jewelry from this period.
