This is simply an amazingly detailed and beautiful vintage sterling silver, multi stone inlay ring fashioned in the shape of a Rainbow Man (Dancer). Pieces of turquoise, coral, onyx, mother of pearl, yellow shell, and other materials were placed in the forms with a mosaic inlay technique. The Rainbow Man figure is outlined with silver dots.
The ring is a size 9.5.
The shank is about 1/8" wide.
The ring face is about 1 1/4" by 1 5/8".
It weighs 10.8 g.
The artists' hand-etched hallmark is "H.E. Cellicion Zuni", standing for celebrated Zuni artisan couple Herbert and Esther Cellicion. Examples of their work are featured in a couple of books published in the 1990s. These rings were likely created in the 1980s.
